At Halekulani Hotel, the breakfast popovers have been served for over a hundred years. The legendary treats are served with Poha Berry (a type of orange gooseberry) jam.
Ingredients
- All-Purpose Flour 2 cups, sifted
- Eggs 6
- Salt 1 tsp
- Milk 2 cups
- Butter and Jam for serving
Cook It
- Preheat the oven to 450˚F.
- Oil a six-cup muffin pan and place in the oven to preheat.
- Whisk together the eggs and milk.
- Add the flour and salt and beat in slowly.
- Pour the batter into the hot muffin pan and bake for 45 minutes.
- Serve the popovers warm with butter and jam.
